Preservation Hall Jazz Band brings the sweet sounds of New Orleans to Benaroya Hall. This touring band originated in the 1960s alongside its namesake building, with a mission to honor and preserve one of America’s truest art forms — traditional New Orleans Jazz. Be transported to the French Quarter with the joyful, timeless spirit of this incredible music.

Preservation Jazz Hall Band

Preservation Hall was founded in 1961 to promote traditional New Orleans jazz in all its authenticity. The original generation may be long gone now, yet the hall is still in business and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band continues to tour the world, under the direction of Ben Jaffe.
