Andre Feriante is an internationally recognized, award-winning guitarist. He had the privilege of studying with the great Andrés Segovia in a Madrid master class in the 1980s and has gone on to compose for guitar and create his own sound on multiple instruments, including the ukulele, banjo, harp guitar and the charango. For twenty years Feriante has wowed Seattle with his "Day of Love" concert, and this February 13 will be his 16th year at Benaroya Hall. Each year Andre presents a new and different show with amazing guests and together they celebrate love with the power of music.
This year, the show takes on a multi-generational element with Andre's son appearing in the show, Andre Jr, a husband-and-wife team from Chicago called The Gunwales. Other featured guest artists include guitarist Danny Godinez, flamenco/modern/ballet dancer Stella Rossi, tabla player Anil Prasad and finally the legendary Overton Berry on piano with bassist Mike Eytcheson.
This event is presented by Andre Feriante.
