Denver-based indie rock band DeVotchKa is a melting pot of genres — a quartet whose lush, dreamlike sound can be easily mistaken for that of an entire orchestra. In 2012, DeVotchKa took the natural step of restructuring their songs for a large symphony, which resulted in an exciting concert collaboration with the Colorado Symphony. Now, DeVotchKa pairs up with the Seattle Symphony to again translate their intimate melodies into a full-scale orchestral experience.
DeVotchKa is: Nick Urata: Vocals, guitars, Theremin, trumpet, piano; Jeanie Schroder: acoustic bass, sousaphone; Shawn King: drums, percussion, trumpet; Tom Hagerman: violin, viola, accordion, piano
Pablo Rus Broseta has served as Assistant Conductor of Orchestre Philarmonique de Liège (Belgium), Valencia Youth Symphony Orchestra (Spain) and Dutch National Opera Academy.
