Come enjoy this family-friendly concert featuring young violinist Yesong Sophie Lee and conducted by Assistant Conductor Pablo Rus Broseta. Cascade Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Seattle Symphony will share the stage to perform Stravinksy’s "The Firebird" Suite.

Pablo Rus Broseta has served as Assistant Conductor of Orchestre Philarmonique de Liège (Belgium), Valencia Youth Symphony Orchestra (Spain) and Dutch National Opera Academy.
Gerry Jon Marsh has been the Music Director and Conductor of the Cascade Youth Symphony since 1984. Professor Marsh is also the Wind Ensemble Director Emeritus at Seattle Pacific University.
Yesong Sophie Lee, age 11, attends Cedarwood Elementary School. She started studying violin with Jan Coleman at age 4, and is currently studying with Simon James and piano collaborator Hiro David in the Coleman Violin Studio.
The Cascade Youth Symphony Orchestras form an organization (the CYSO) that provides a wholesome and stimulating environment for talented and gifted young musicians. An emphasis is placed on creating an atmosphere that encourages, challenges and develops their fullest potential in the art of performance. Participants benefit from a yearlong program designed to nurture their enjoyment of music as well as develop their musical skills and self-confidence. This program consists of a balance of rehearsals, sectional coaching sessions, retreats, and concerts.
