Acclaimed pianist Angelo Rondello founded the Seattle Music Exchange in 2016 to give voice to Seattle’s cultural identity and to cultivate its connections with other cultures around the world. The unique program brings local performers and composers to audiences at home and abroad through concerts, residencies, and educational programs.
After an international tour presenting music from Seattle's composers , Rondello returns to Benaroya Hall to perform music from composers of Seattle’s sister cities. The program includes work by Knut Vaage from Bergen (Norway), Satrou Nakanishi from Kobe (Japan), Fernando Sulpizi from Perugia (Italy), and Szilard Kovacs from Pecs (Hungary).
