New Year's Eve Classical Soul of Motown

What better way to celebrate the New Year than with the Seattle Symphony performing the timeless grooves of classic soul. The astounding voices of Capathia Jenkins and her Broadway co-star Darius de Haas will revisit the kings and queens of that iconic era including Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, Tina Turner, Stevie Wonder and many more. Conductor Michael Krajewski leads the Symphony in this return to the music you know and love.

Follow the performance with a post-concert party that includes a glass of champagne, a live performance and dancing all the way to the midnight countdown and beyond!

Known for his entertaining programs and clever humor, Michael Krajewski is a much sought after conductor of symphonic pops. He is Music Director of The Philly Pops and Principal Pops Conductor of the Houston, Atlanta and Jacksonville Symphonies.

Capathia Jenkins


The Brooklyn-born and raised actress, Capathia Jenkins, created the role of ‘Medda’ in the hit Disney production of Newsies on Broadway.

Darius de Haas


Darius de Haas enjoys a multifaceted career as an award-winning widely acclaimed popular singer and actor. Born and raised in a musical family on Chicago's South Side, known for his soaring voice, he has proven successful as a performer ranging from the Broadway stage to recordings to concert venues throughout the world.

Calli Graver


Calli Graver has created a versatile and steady career as a crossover vocalist. A native of Lancaster Pennsylvania, Graver moved to Philadelphia to pursue her degree from the University of the Arts (BM in voice/ MM in jazz studies).

Nicholas Trawick


Nicholas Trawick is a Philadelphia native who was introduced to singing at a very young age. A big influence musically, came from Trawick’s involvement with the Keystone State Boychoir (KSB).

DeShana Wooden


DeShana Wooden is a vocalist and private instructor originally from the Bronx, New York. She studied jazz at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she currently resides.
