NWAA, KNKX 88.5 & The Stranger present: An Evening with David Sedaris

”… If America had an award for satirist-in-chief, David Sedaris would be the odds-on favorite. If there were a garland for humorist laureate, it would rest on his head..” — Broadway World

Seattle audiences were fortunate to have been chosen for the final workshops of DAVID SEDARIS’ newest book Theft by Finding in January. In its review of the book, The New York Times says, “It’s helpful to see that a voice as original, hilarious and sometimes as infuriating as his was put through the same Struggle and Starve meat grinder that most of us go through.”

Following its publication in May, Theft by Finding rose to the top of the NY Times bestseller list, and now David returns to Seattle for his annual reading and signing at Benaroya Hall. Slashing through cultural euphemisms and political correctness, he will delight the audience with twists of humor and intelligence as he shares both published stories and works-in-progress. In its review, The New York Times says, “It’s helpful to see that a voice as original, hilarious and sometimes as infuriating as his was put through the same Struggle and Starve meat grinder that most of us go through.”
