Costumes Are Encouraged as Let Your Music Shine with Lisa & Linda™ Engages Symphony’s Youngest Fans with Interactive Song and Movement

Seattle, WA – The Seattle Symphony’s 2011–2012 Tiny Tots series opens with “Halloween Hooray,” a concert featuring Let Your Music Shine with Lisa & Linda™, and filled with Halloween classics performed by a string trio. Performances will take place on Friday, October 28, at 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 a.m., and Saturday, October 29, at 9:30, 10:30, 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the Illsley Ball Nordstrom Recital Hall at Benaroya Hall. Pre-concert lobby activities begin 30 minutes prior to each performance and serve to enhance the concert experience. Tickets are $12; all ages need a ticket.

Tiny Tots is designed for children from birth to age 5 and has been carefully planned for young patrons — from the length of the concerts to their interactive and age-specific content. These 35-minute performances engage the youngest music lovers — Infants, toddlers and preschoolers — In musical games, stories and songs and help them build strong relationships with symphonic music. Local young musicians also will perform as part of the concerts and pre-concert lobby activities. Future Tiny Tots performances with Let Your Music Shine with Lisa & Linda™ will take place on November 18 and 19 with Mother Goose Goes to the Symphony; February 17 and 18 with Sailing the Musical Seas; April 20 and 21 with Beethoven’s Birthday Bear; and June 22 and 23 with A Percussion Picnic. 5-concert Tiny Tots subscriptions for $49 are still available for many time slots.

Early-childhood educators Let Your Music Shine with Lisa & Linda™ create an interactive performance experience packed full of musical play, stories and song. Let Your Music Shine with Lisa & Linda™ received the prestigious 2002 Parents’ Choice Gold Award for their recording with The Canadian Brass, Symphony Shine Time! Focus on the Brass. Twin sisters Lisa Allison and Linda Sebenius, the creators of Let Your Music Shine, initially produced their work under the name Identical Harmony. Over the last couple of years, Lisa and Linda have created Music Shine Media LLC, a media production company devoted to developing and distributing the performances and products of Let Your Music Shine with Lisa and Linda™.

Single tickets for $12, and 5-concert subscription packages for $49, can be purchased by calling the Seattle Symphony Ticket Office at (206) 215-4747 or toll-free at (866) 833-4747, faxing the Symphony at (206) 215-4748, ordering online at, or visiting the Seattle Symphony Ticket Office in Benaroya Hall at Third Avenue & Union Street, Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, 1 to 6 p.m. Free public tours of Benaroya Hall occur every Tuesday and Friday at 12 noon and 1 p.m. and depart from the south end of The Boeing Company Gallery, at the entrance to the Samuel and Althea Stroum Grand Lobby.
