Musical Storytime
Ages 2–5 years
From Peter and the Wolf to Carnival of the Animals, kids explore classic
musical stories through games, songs and dance in this 30-minute class.

Everyone Come Drum
Ages 5-11 years
Discover rhythms from across the globe as kids play a variety of percussion instruments
and create their own rhythm jams.

Musical Storytime at the Seattle Public Library
Ages 2–5 years
Discover the cultures of the world through songs, stories and instruments. Children
learn to create their own musical soundtracks to the stories they hear at the Main
Branch of the Seattle Public Library. Mondays at 10:30am from July 1 to August 19.

Symphony Kids Series
Come play and learn in our vibrant musical classroom! Soundbridge teaching
artists lead this monthly sequential, highly participatory class series where children
explore deeper connections to music.
Registration: $55/month, per child. Pre-registration required.
Make-up classes must be made in the same month as the class missed.
Parking: Pre-paid parking passes available upon request for up
to two hours in the Benaroya Hall garage on the day of your class.
Twinkle, Twinkle Little Stars
Ages 0–12 months
Join Soundbridge teaching artist, Jessica Andrews Hall, as your little
stars fall in love with classical music while bonding with you through musical games
and playtime. Kids and parents alike investigate real musical instruments, learn
to move with the beat and become familiar with famous composers.

Twinkle, Twinkle Bigger Stars
Ages 1–2 years
Experience the joy of discovery as you and your young toddler explore the instruments
of the orchestra and learn familiar symphonic melodies. Each class will include
warm up songs and movement, playing fun musical games like animal dance or shake
& stop, instrument exploration, and time for both parents and kids to share what
they learned.

From ABC to Do, Re, Mi, sing and dance along with your toddlers as they build their
first friendships, try the instruments of the orchestra, and learn simple songs
connected to symphony classics.

It’s time to play! Musical games and hands-on exploration invite kids to develop

Flummy Wisters Yodel their Yisters – July ONLY
Ages 2–5 years
Together with music teacher Jana Vitols, join us as we bask in the summertime,
using songs, storybooks, puppets, percussion instruments and folk dances. Students
are invited to respond to the music with movement, playing like the creatures down
at the pond, leaping like bullfrogs, waddling like ducks and buzzing like bees.

Concerts in Soundbridge
The Ugly Duckling
Ages 4–8 | Saturday, July 20, at 2pm
Waddle and quack along with the double reeds in this performance by friendly oboe
trio DAS Oboe. Children and parents will join these plucky ducks on a musical journey
as the ugly duckling discovers that she is a beautiful swan. Try out real wind instruments
and make your own to take home after the show!
Tickets: $8 for children, $10 for adults. Under 2: free.

These hands-on sessions for children and their caregivers are one hour long and

Carnegie Hall’s The Orchestra Sings
Cost: $43/child | Ages 8–10 years
February 2, 9, & 16, 2014
Children will learn to play songs such as "Ode to Joy," "Simple Gifts" and "I Bought
me a Cat" on recorder, and will learn about the instruments of the orchestra. Participants
in this extended Discover Music Preview Class will receive a recorder, a "The Orchestra
Sings" T-shirt and the opportunity to perform onstage with the Seattle
