Through movement and music, Kindermusik activities promote language development, symbolic thinking, coordination and social interaction while awakening your child’s imagination. Classes are led by Katy Webber, Soundbridge Kindermusik teacher.

This class is designed to provide families a special place for learning and connecting with other parents and babies through music and movement, providing the natural learning your child is ready for from the first days of life.

Make believe is at the core of your child’s learning at this age. In this class, the creator, thinker and musician in your child explores musical ways to express discoveries.

Winter: Year 1, Semester 2
Class: 60 minutes. Parent or caregiver attends last 10 minutes.
This class broadens and deepens your child's musicianship by providing a developmentally appropriate transition before he or she takes on more formal instruction. Includes rhythm, notation, musical symbols, and authentic pre-keyboard, string and woodwind instruments.

Soundbridge for Children and Families
Musical Storytelling
Great for ages 3 to 9!
Soundbridge’s Musical Storytelling has been named “best of Seattle” by Seattle Metropolitan magazine. Children and families will enjoy this interactive time of storytelling and music. Our storytime leaders use song, dance, and rhythm instruments to tell the story of the week.

Discover Music! Enhancement Classes
Discover Music! Enhancement Classes are designed to enrich the Discover Music! concert experience. Each one-hour class previews a corresponding Seattle Symphony Discover Music! concert with hands-on craft projects and music activities. Parent or caregiver attends with child. Fees
Soundbridge membership or Discover Music! concert ticket: $3 per child (materials fee)
Non-members: $19 per child (includes $3 materials fee)

Celebrate Your Birthday at Soundbridge!
Celebrate your child’s birthday at Soundbridge Seattle Symphony Music Discovery Center!
- Exclusive use of the 600-square-foot space for up to 15 children with adults
- Access to all exhibits

Entertainment
The entertainment portion of the party – thematically based on the child’s interests – will begin when all guests have arrived.
Soundbridge staff present a special musical storytelling session for which parents and child may help select a book, as well as interactive, age-appropriate songs, dances and games.
Partygoers may participate in an optional staff-guided instrument exploration of strings, winds, and brass.
Parents are encouraged to participate in all entertainment and exploration portions of the party.
Food and Beverage
Food and beverages, e.g., cake, ice cream, boxed juice drinks and/or capped water bottles, must be provided by families.
Soundbridge does not provide food or beverages.
Uncovered cups are not allowed in Soundbridge in order to protect the instruments and equipment.
Cake, ice cream and drinks can be stored in the facility’s refrigerator/freezer until serving time.
Soundbridge staff is available to lead the cake ceremony with singing and cake presentation.
NOTE: Please wait to serve food and beverages until after the entertainment.
This helps protect instruments and equipment. Alcohol is not permitted.
Tables and Chairs
Guests will be able to sit and eat at tables.
Families may provide their own tablecloths, or they may use Soundbridge tablecloths
(black with multi-colored musical instruments).
Soundbridge staff is responsible for set-up and clean-up of chairs and tables.
Invitations and Party Favors
Soundbridge staff can also assist with preparation of invitations/party announcements.
Invitations are printed on high-quality red paper with Soundbridge logo and directions.
Envelopes are included. Cost: $1 per invitation; minimum order of two invitations required.
With sufficient notice, Suzuki pre-recorders may be ordered as party favors.
