CONCERT UPDATE: Due to the disturbance in European air travel caused by the Icelandic volcano eruption, cellist Xavier Phillips must cancel his Seattle Symphony appearances. Dutilleux's Cello Concerto will no longer appear on the program. In place of the Dutilleux, Guest Conductor Ludovic Morlot will lead the Orchestra in Tchaikovsky's vivid and passionate orchestral tone poem, Francesca da Rimini, based on a tale from Dante's Inferno.
