Volunteering
Getting Started
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Seattle Symphony. The Symphony is a world-class organization because of the assistance of volunteers, like you, who have put their hearts and minds into the organization throughout its history. Volunteers truly keep the music alive!
All new volunteers are required to attend a volunteer orientation session, which covers important information such as position vacancies, history of the organization, emergency information, volunteer benefits and more.
We seek volunteers that are and will be committed to the success of the Symphony. For that reason, we require a minimum payment of $30 in annual dues (or $15 for senior citizens) to become a member of the Seattle Symphony Volunteers (SSV) organization. All dues collected by the SSV ultimately go to the Symphony.
SSV members receive the quarterly Overture newsletter and invitations to all volunteer events. Members are eligible for one concert ticket per every six hours of volunteering.
Interested in becoming a Seattle Symphony Volunteer?
Please contact the Seattle Symphony Volunteers at volunteer@seattlesymphony.org or phone 206.215.4867. A member of the SSV will explain volunteer opportunities and answer questions.
