Doug LaBrecque is most familiar to Seattle Symphony audiences for hosting the 2004 Yuletide Celebration. He thrilled theater audiences as both the Phantom and Raoul in The Phantom of the Opera and starred on Broadway in the Tony-award-winning revival of ShowBoat. He toured nationally with Les Misérables and has appeared regionally in leading roles in Candide, A Chorus Line, and Man of LaMancha, among many others.
An active concert performer, LaBrecque has soloed with more than 100 symphony orchestras, including the National, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and San Francisco symphonies; the Cleveland and Minnesota orchestras; the Rochester and Israel philharmonics; the Orquestra Symphonica Brasilera; and the Shanghai Radio Orchestra. Under the guidance of the wonderful conductor Jeff Tyzik, LaBrecque is collaborating on a new Broadway Pops program that will appear later this season at the Rochester and Naples philharmonics.
