Corporate Giving

How can your business or firm become involved with Seattle Symphony? There are several ways. For more information please contact Tony Bollen, Corporate Partnerships Manager, at 206.215.4766, or at tony.bollen@seattle.symphony.org.

Become a Corporate Partner

This is the perfect way for smaller businesses to show their support for the orchestra. Corporate Partners are companies that pledge $1,000, $2,000 or $3,000 annually to Seattle Symphony. In return, Corporate Partners benefit from concert tickets, special discounts, and invitations to a special event each year. We also recognize our Corporate Partners during the year in our Encore program and in other ways.

Whether you choose to give $1,000 as a “Colleague,” or $2,000 to become an “Affiliate,” or $3,000 or more as a designated “Associate,” you’ll be making an investment in the arts that will benefit the Puget Sound community. Your customers, your employees, and Seattle Symphony patrons will appreciate your show of support.

Contact Tony Bollen, Corporate Partnerships Manager, at 206.215.4766, or at tony.bollen@seattle.symphony.org for all the details.

Become a Corporate Sponsor

Sponsorship of a Seattle Symphony performance or a series is a wonderful way to put your company in the spotlight. Sponsorship introduces every patron in Benaroya Hall — and tens of thousands more! — to your business, in a way that is highly cost-effective. That’s why so many of our sponsorship clients return year after year.

A few of the Frequently Asked Questions:

What can I sponsor? Almost any Seattle Symphony performance is available for sponsorship, from single concerts to an entire concert series. We also offer sponsorship of many of our award winning educational programs. From classical favorites to Seattle Pops concerts to Popular Culture performances with visiting artists, there’s a sponsorship opportunity to suit your musical taste and your marketing requirements.

What does it cost? Corporate Sponsorship is available to suit almost any investment amount. Some clients elect to sponsor a single performance in our Nordstrom Recital Hall; others become sponsors of one of our premier Masterworks “7 Series.” Between those extremes lies an array of options. We will gladly tailor a sponsorship proposal to accommodate your marketing budget.

What benefits does my company receive? As a Seattle Symphony Corporate Sponsor, you will of course reap the rewards of your company’s generosity and philanthropy. But we also recognize that sponsorship is often a decision driven by marketing needs. In order to deliver the maximum return, Seattle Symphony offers this partial list of sponsor benefits:

  • A block of tickets to your sponsored performances
  • A one-third page Sponsor Message in our Encore program magazine, read by an average of 25,000 people monthly
  • The opportunity to place an insert, coupon or brochure inside the Encore program to be placed directly into the concert-goers’ hands
  • Your logo on large sponsor signs placed throughout the Grand Lobby, seen by up to 2,500 concert-goers, and displayed in the Grand Lobby using gobo lights for added impact
  • Your logo or company name included as sponsor on large posters placed all around Benaroya Hall, seen by tens of thousands of pedestrians in the heart of downtown Seattle
  • Your company included as sponsor in any radio advertising for the sponsored performances
  • Your company listed on the Current Sponsor page on our website
  • The opportunity for you to set up a display in the Grand Lobby or in the Boeing Gallery. Have a sales booth, park a vehicle, or arrange an information table – and use the opportunity to talk directly with prospective customers.

One of the great benefits of Corporate Sponsorship is the opportunity for a hospitality event — a reception, dinner, cocktail party or champagne dessert — one more way to delight your clients, your prospects or your valued employees. Contact us for a tour of Benaroya Hall, and come see the possibilities for yourself.

This is just the beginning. We can also include your company in our email offers and newsletters sent frequently to thousands of loyal recipients, or offer your employees a ticket discount, or include your firm on direct mail postcards or on posters places throughout the City. Each opportunity is different (and some print deadlines do apply). Let us tailor a proposal that provides you with precisely the benefits that matter most to your firm.

Become a Corporate Underwriter

Some companies have set up Corporate Foundations, many of which support Seattle Symphony through their grant-making process. Foundation support is a very important component of the Orchestra’s financial health, particularly grants that support our community-wide educational initiatives. If you are connected with a firm that has a Corporate Foundation, and you think Seattle Symphony might qualify for a grant, please contact Tony Bollen, Corporate Partnerships Manager, at 206.215.4766, or at tony.bollen@seattle.symphony.org and we will initiate the grant request process. (Seattle Symphony is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.)

Support Seattle Symphony with an “In-Kind” Gift

Seattle Symphony has strong relationships with many local companies who provide us with In-Kind support — from hotel rooms to restaurant meals, from wine to audio visual equipment. If you believe your firm could provide Seattle Symphony with goods or services that might benefit us and help us operate more efficiently – and if you’re interested in the possibilities sponsorship might afford your business — let’s explore ideas.
