Individual Giving
Guest Artists Circle
While appearances by guest artists often lead to sold-out performances, the artists’ fees have a substantial impact on the Symphony’s annual operating budget. To continue a legacy of attracting gifted artists from around the world, arts patrons and philanthropists James and Sherry Raisbeck have helped establish the Seattle Symphony Guest Artists Circle Program.
The Raisbecks have provided a $500,000 multi-year challenge grant to encourage others to participate in this initiative. Donors are given the opportunity to directly support the fees of a guest artist of their choice (based on availability), with an additional contribution of $20,000. The Raisbecks will match every dollar contributed to this program. For more information, please call the Director of Major Gifts and Special Initiatives at 206.215.4854.
Donors to the Seattle Symphony Guest Artists Circle Program will receive a specialized benefit package including the following opportunities:
- Opportunity to sit on stage during rehearsal featuring sponsored guest artist
- Opportunity to sit in on score-reading session including conductor and sponsored guest artist
- Opportunity for intimate dining experience with sponsored guest artist (lunch following rehearsal, dinner following concert)
- Name on Benaroya Hall reader boards along Third Avenue in association with sponsored guest artist
- Invitation to annual season kick-off event for Seattle Symphony Guest Artists Circle Program
- Guest artist autographed musical score
