Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra with The Seattle Choral Company & SYSO 75th Anniversary Alumni Orchestra

Join the Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra as we welcome back our distinguished alumni for the 75th Anniversary Alumni Concert!

On composing his Third Symphony, Camille Saint-Saëns remarked, “I gave everything to it I was able to give.” Witness brilliant orchestral writing and the gargantuan sound of a cathedral-sized pipe organ as current SYSO students are joined onstage by alumni. Also, hear two American choral classics: “Make Our Garden Grow” from Bernstein’s Candide and “The Promise of Living” from Copland’s The Tender Land in conjunction with the Seattle Choral Company. Seattle Symphony violinist Mae Lin performs Ernest Chausson’s rhapsodic Poème. SYSO performs music from award-winning composer and Seattle native Paul Chihara.
