Friends of the Seattle Symphony are invited to join the orchestra, guest conductor Dmitry Sinkovsky and the Seattle Symphony Chorale for a rehearsal of Handel's beloved Messiah. Mingle with fellow Symphony supporters over wine, coffee and tea in the Samuel & Althea Stroum Grand Lobby prior to the rehearsal and during the break.
Born in Moscow, Dmitry Sinkovsky attended the city’s Tchaikovsky Conservatory, studying with Professor Alexander Kirov from 2001-2005. Combining his studies with tours to Europe, Dmitry also undertook baroque violin lessons with early music pioneer Maria Leonhardt. Since graduating Dmitry has regularly been invited to lead from the violin and to perform as a soloist with orchestras and ensembles such as Il Complesso barocco (Italy), Concerto Koln (Germany), Helsinki Baroque Orchestra (Finland) and more.
The Seattle Symphony Chorale serves as the official chorus of the Seattle Symphony. Over its past four decades, the Chorale has grown in artistry and stature, establishing itself as a highly respected ensemble.
