The Be Bold Now IWD 2020 celebration will go on as planned and promises to be an inspiring, motivating, and uplifting event, which we can all use these days.
Be Bold Now is committed to health and safety and are working closely with the venue and seriously monitoring the global situation, along with receiving updates from King County Health, Center for Disease Control, and the City of Seattle. Currently, Seattle is still considered a low-risk area. However, we are taking extra precautionary measures by providing additional hand sanitizers and disinfectant wipes throughout the venue, particularly in high traffic areas. Additionally, the Benaroya Hall custodial staff are routinely disinfecting commonly touched surfaces, such as doorknobs, handles, elevator keypads, etc. Should an outbreak occur, we will prioritize the health of our employees and friends in the audience by implementing and communicating appropriate changes that ensure a safe environment.
International Women’s Day (IWD) is a day to acknowledge and celebrate women’s cultural, social, and economic contributions but is also a call to action for women and their allies to take action to accelerate gender parity. IWD has been celebrated for 111 years and recognized but the UN since 1975.
2020 will mark the fifth annual Be Bold Now International Women’s Day celebration, March 5, 2020, at Benaroya Hall. The event is an evening celebration were we share women's stories to inspire the audience to take action to promote gender parity. The evening is anchored on the data from the World Economic Forum Gender gap report (WEF) to ground women and our allies in the work that needs to be done to close the current estimate of over 200 years for women to achieve parity.
We hope you will join us for the uplifting and inspiring evening. ASL Interpretation will be available at this presentation.
