Music that Matters! Featuring two world premieres: Ryuichi Sakamoto's compelling "Passage" depicts the struggle of a refugee to escape violence and persecution in his own land. Shinji Eshima's "Veritas" is a soulful plea against religious intolerance. Also, American composer Paul Schoenfield's "Camp Songs," with its sardonic words and melodies that Polish dissident journalist Aleksander Kulisiewicz dared to create while a prisoner in a concentration camp. Baritone/director Erich Parce and soprano Karen Early Evans join MOR’s extraordinary instrumental ensemble drawn from the ranks of the Seattle Symphony.
