Morlot Conducts Ravel

Masterworks Series >

From the rapturous sunrise in Daphnis et Chloé to the sultry jazz tones in the Concerto in G, Ravel’s orchestral scores saturate the stage with extravagant colors. Emerging Artist: Joep Beving

Live at Benaroya Hall >

After the release of his debut album Solipsism, Joep Beving quickly developed an international following as a classical musician. The 2017 release of Prehension, 85 million downloads on Spotify, and global touring has solidified his place as one of the world’s most popular living pianists. This unassuming Dutch composer's understated, haunting and melancholic playing leaves audiences spellbound and his delicate melodies give goosebumps. “The world is a hectic place right now,” says Joep. “I feel a deep urge to reconnect on a basic human level with people in general ….” Beving’s contemplative neo-classical compositions sooth the soul and serve as the antidote to a world of uncertainty and fear.
