Building the Photo Ark (National Geographic Live)

While health officials manage the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in our community, the Seattle Symphony has made the difficult decision to cancel the remaining National Geographic Live events this season, including Hidden Wild: Secrets of the Everglades (July 19–21, 2020), From Summit to Sea (August 2–4, 2020) and Building the Photo Ark (August 16–18, 2020). All ticket holders will be notified.

Photographer Joel Sartore is on a mission to capture portraits of the world’s species before they disappear. He has created the Photo Ark project, the largest archive of its kind with 9,000 images and counting. Hear about his comical mishaps and endearing encounters while documenting a world worth saving.
